Good Skin Knowledge Community Grants
The AAD will offer community grants up to $1,000 to non-profit and community-based organizations in underserved populations in order to provide the opportunity to deliver Good Skin Knowledge lesson plan training to children ages 8-13 in their community. Eligible applicants
The AAD Good Skin Knowledge Community Grant Program is open to community groups, schools, and after school programs to help deliver this four-module lesson plan training to children ages 8-13 within their organization.
Funds will be distributed as follows:
$500 for groups up to 100 students and $1,000 for groups up to 250 students.
Half of the funds will be distributed at the beginning of the project, the other half after the session is completed with a submitted report and count of participants, along with other supporting evidence of the activity (photographs).
Requirements
The following criteria must be met to secure a grant:
Grantee must work with a designated AAD affiliate (member, resident, student) who will help deliver training virtually. The AAD will help pair the organization with someone to work with.
Signed waivers/consent forms from all participants must be submitted to AAD.
Signed letter of agreement must be submitted.
Total trained students must be submitted via summary form after event(s).
All supplies for STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) activities must be purchased by the grantee and available for use during training sessions with students.
All four session modules must be covered.
Training must be delivered by December 31, 2022.
