Public health partnership: Skin cancer awareness and prevention

A world without skin cancer is an achievable goal and the American Academy of Dermatology is committed to reducing the incidence of and mortality from skin cancer. Public education is the key. Learn how you can partner with the AAD to educate the public about how to reduce their risk of skin cancer and how behavior change can ultimately save lives.

The Academy’s Skin Cancer Awareness and Prevention campaign is leading the fight against skin cancer. Your support helps the Academy advance the public’s understanding of skin cancer and motivate them to change their behavior to prevent and detect skin cancer.

Skin Cancer, Take a Hike!™
A participant-driven fundraising event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the American Academy of Dermatology’s national Skin Cancer Awareness and Prevention campaign. Participants help educate friends and family on the importance of skin cancer prevention and detection while raising funds to support free skin cancer screenings, shade structures for children, access to sunscreen in public locations, and educational programs on how to prevent and detect skin cancer. AAD counts on the involvement of corporate supporters in national events like this one to help further our mission and provide vital resources to continue the important work we do to end skin cancer. To learn more or to register for an upcoming event, visit www.aad.org/SCTAH.

Based on the level of support, recognition may include logo placement on website, participant T-shirts, and email campaigns; opportunity to participate in virtual swag bag or welcome kits; inclusion in Academy press release, and more.
