Career Launch Boot Camp | Career Launch Boot Camp supports early-career physicians twice a year as they transition into dermatology practice and the boot camps are available for CME credit. The program delivers a practical introduction to Academy resources, covering important financial factors related to personal and business investing, tips and tricks to avoid pitfalls related to billing and coding, and the power of social media for promoting a personal brand and a practice. Recognition may include name recognition on the boot camp’s web page and signage. Diversity Champions Workshop | Diversity Champions Workshop was created to increase awareness of the lack of diversity in the specialty and how that has a direct impact on access to high-quality dermatologic care and the health outcomes of minority populations. This workshop is available for CME credit. In addition to increasing awareness of the lack of diversity in dermatology and its causes, the workshop facilitates the establishment of diversity outreach programs within dermatology residency programs; increases knowledge of holistic review processes for dermatology resident applicants; and expands cultural competence within all residency programs. Recognition may include name recognition on the workshop’s web page and signage. Hands-on Cosmetics | Designed to expand on popular AAD hands-on workshops, AAD members will practice injection techniques with cutaneous procedural head models in this two-day Hands-on Cosmetics will be offered in summer and is available for CME credit. Upon conclusion of this course, participants will be able to assess the benefits and risks of performing procedures commonly used in cosmetic dermatology according to a patient’s clinical situation, describe the risks of each cosmetic procedure and methods to minimize such risks and perform procedures commonly used in cosmetic dermatology, specifically botulinum toxin injections and fillers. Recognition may include name recognition on onsite signage and course materials. Leadership Forum | The Leadership Forum is a critical component of the Academy’s Leadership Institute and will host three groups of dermatologists live, in-person in Itasca, IL, April 29 – May 1, 2022. Leadership Forum: This highly interactive and enriching weekend provides an opportunity for early-career members to advance leadership and communication skills while networking with peers and Academy leaders. Academic Dermatology Leadership: This is a year-long program addressing the unique challenges of academic dermatology practice, and it includes a mentor relationship, training sessions, and attendance at the Leadership Forum. Advanced Leadership Forum is another critical component of the Academy’s Leadership Institute and attendees must have 10 or more years since completing dermatology residency training or must be six years past Leadership Forum attendance. This Forum provides an invaluable peer-to-peer learning experience and networking opportunities. Recognition may include name or logo recognition on at least one invitation e-blast, the Leadership Forum home page on AAD.org (all AAD promotions of the Forum direct back to this home page), program materials and signage, and an invitation for sponsors to send two representatives to a networking activity of the Leadership Forum. | Multiple supporters, starting at $50,000. | Available |
