Categories that don't require additional documentation
The following two categories do not require any additional documentation, but must meet the requirements below to register.
Non-member physician
For those who treat patients in an office-like setting
Non-member non-physician
For non-member corporate individuals, pharmacists, distributors, industry representatives, marketers, business developers, and scientists/researchers, CEO, COO, or Director-level titles working in the field of dermatology. This also includes aestheticians and cosmetologists and all employees affiliated with aesthetician or cosmetologist procedures.
Categories that require additional documentation
The following categories are required to have an Access ID# to register online. During this process, the required documentation outlined below for each category will be requested. Be sure that your documentation contains all of the requested items. If incomplete documentation is submitted, you will be contacted for updated documents and processing time will be delayed. Submission link can be found at the bottom of this page.
Residents and medical fellows (includes research fellowships)
For those who are not AAD graduate members
Participation in a training program must be ongoing at the time of the meeting and have a scheduled end date.
REQUIRED: Official letter from an educational or training institution validating participation in the program. This letter needs to be signed, reflect a current date, and list the start date and anticipated end date of the training program.
Medical students
Participation in a medical program must be ongoing at the time of the meeting
REQUIRED: Official letter from an educational or training institution validating your medical student status. This letter needs to be signed, reflect a current date, and list the start date and anticipated end date of the training program
Physician assistants and nurse practitioners
Must be employed by an AAD member dermatologist
Employing physician does not need to attend the meeting
This category refers to the specific physician assistant and nurse practitioner licensure commonly found in the US and Canada. This category is not available to physicians assisting other physicians.
REQUIRED: Copy of your current medical license
REQUIRED: Letter of sponsorship from your employing physician. The sponsorship letter must be signed and have a current date.
Nurses (RN/LPN)
Must be employed by a practicing dermatologist
Employing physician does not need to attend the meeting
REQUIRED: Copy of your current RN or LPN license
REQUIRED: A signed and currently dated letter of sponsorship from your employing dermatologist. The letter must be on practice letterhead and state that you are currently working for them in their practice.
Dermatology practice staff
This category is intended for those who work in a dermatology practice and who provide patient services. Some examples of acceptable dermatology practice staff roles would be front desk, medical records, referral clerk, insurance billing, coding, and histotechnicians. This is not for physicians, researchers, CEO, COO, or Director-level titles, aestheticians, cosmetologists, or any employees affiliated with aesthetician or cosmetic procedures.
Must be employed by a practicing dermatologist
Employing physician does not need attend the meeting
REQUIRED: A signed and currently dated letter of sponsorship from your employing dermatologist. The letter must be on practice letterhead and state that you are currently working for him/her in their practice. It must also state your role in the practice.
Request an access ID#
Begin your requestYour login is required at the beginning of the access ID# request process. If you do not already have an online account with the AAD website, you will be required to create one.
If you are requesting an ID# for someone else, please login with your individual login. Once logged in, you will be given the option to request an ID# for someone other than yourself.
Please allow 5 business days for processing and approval of your access ID#.
Requests must be received by June 8, 2022 to be processed in time to register by the early bird deadline date of June 15, 2022 at 12 p.m. noon (CT). We do our best to accommodate all requests. Please do not contact us to expedite your request.
After receipt of your ID#, registration and housing can be completed via the online system.
The deadline for submission and approval of an ID# is July 8, 2022.
After July 8th, non-members who have not yet requested an access ID# to register online will need to credential and register at the meeting.
Access ID# requests will not be accepted via email.
To ensure the proper registration category and rates are being assigned, the AAD will occasionally utilize other websites or programs for verification of non-member submission information.
* Those with a Guest badge or an Exhibitor badge will only have access to exhibits and the Welcome Reception. Meeting registration in an appropriate, alternative category is required to attend any educational sessions.
